🧱 Excavate and Prepare the Base
Florida soil can shift, so prep is essential. Excavate 6–8 inches deep, compact the earth, then add a gravel layer:
- 3–4 inches of crushed gravel
- Level and compact for stability
- Supports drainage during heavy rains

🔨 Build a Strong Concrete Form
Use wood boards to create a mold that matches your pad’s shape. Stake securely and add rebar or mesh for added strength—especially for spas.
- 2x4 or 2x6 boards for form edges
- Check squareness and level
- Rebar grid or wire mesh for reinforcement

🧊 Pour and Finish the Concrete
- Use 3,000–4,000 PSI concrete mix
- Screed, float, and lightly broom-finish for texture
- Let cure 48–72 hours before placing anything
